*Every Circle requires a Key. To step into the new, one must first loosen the chains of the old. A Key From the Past is your offering to this passage. It is a relic of who you once were—an object that has finished its work and lingers only as shadow. To bring it forth is to prepare the ground for transformation.*
# The Instruction
Bring with you an item that represents a past you wish to leave behind:
- A hoodie that smells of someone you no longer name.
- A passport that calls back to where you no longer belong.
- A stuffed animal that holds a you that's afraid to be released.
- A souvenir that aches with joy that has long since left.
- A letter that presses against a wound not yet closed.
- A key that tempts you with a door you must not reopen.
# The Intention
Your Key is not to be donated, passed on, or repurposed. Its purpose is release: to be burned, dissolved, unbound. You may speak its story aloud or cast it silently into the fire; The Ritual works either way.
